WWGB Owner Surrenders Station License
Radio Poder (WWGB 1030 AM) appears to be gone for good. Good Body Media notified the FCC Friday that it is surrendering the station’s license.
The station went off the air July 17. At the time, Good Body Media filed with the FCC seeking authority to keep the station silent due to financial issues. The decision to surrender the license means WWGB will not return to the air.
WWGB had been airing a mix of brokered Spanish and English language religious programming. The station had also aired brokered Arabic language programming at one point many years ago. The station operated at 50,000 watts during daytime hours from Indian Head.
