Dr. Michael Agee Announces His Retirement From WGTS
After 47 years in broadcasting and 4+ years as Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives at WGTS, Dr. Michael Agee has announced his retirement.
Throughout his career, he has worn many hats, from on-air host and program director to manager, engineer, and sales. Beyond the microphone, Agee also made significant contributions as a professor, earning his doctorate in education with a specialization in adult education while training and mentoring the next generation of broadcast professionals.
President and CEO of WGTS Kevin Krueger expressed gratitude for their collaboration, noting they had dreamed of working together since the early 1990s. Jerry Woods, WGTS morning host who worked with Agee at two different stations, called him an amazing mentor and friend who taught lessons about both radio and life. More from cmbonline.com.
