Nats Announce Broadcast Team

The Washington Nationals have locked in their TV booth for 2026 as Nationals.TV gets set for its debut. The new MLB produced broadcasts will feature Dan Kolko on play-by-play, Kevin Frandsen as analyst, and Alexa Datt serving as host and reporter. Games will air locally on cable and satellite and stream directly to fans through Major League Baseball’s direct-to-consumer platform.

Kolko’s promotion caps a long run covering the Nationals across nearly every role imaginable, from beat writer to field reporter to studio host. Now he becomes the primary voice of the team at a moment of major transition, as the Nationals move away from MASN and into a league-run broadcast model. Frandsen, a key part of the 2014 division-winning Nationals, returns for his fifth season in the booth, bringing steady analysis and strong chemistry with Kolko.

Datt’s return brings another hometown connection to the broadcast. The Derwood, Maryland native rejoins the DC market after national and regional stops that included MLB Network and FanDuel Sports Network Midwest. She is set to debut during Spring Training. Washington becomes the seventh MLB club with locally produced broadcasts handled by MLB, a shift that also brings upgraded production tools like Wire Cam and advanced camera tech to Nationals telecasts in 2026.
